About Mother Mieko

Who we are and how this site is funded

mothermieko.com is the home of Mother Mieko, a wellness channel that shares simple, old-fashioned kitchen routines for women over 40, with a focus on appetite, late-night cravings and everyday habits around food.

Who Mother Mieko Is

Mother Mieko is a character created to present educational content in a warm, easy-to-follow way, the same voice you see in our short videos. She is not a doctor, nurse, dietitian or licensed healthcare provider, and nothing she says is individual medical guidance.

What We Do

We turn common, low-cost home routines into clear step-by-step guides with exact amounts, and we explain the reasoning behind each step in plain language. We also say clearly who a routine is not for, because some kitchen staples, baking soda included, are not safe for everyone.

We are not a pharmaceutical company, a medical institution or a government health agency, and we are not affiliated with any.

Editorial Independence & Disclosure

This site is supported by affiliate relationships. When you purchase a product through a link on this site, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. This never changes the price you pay. See our Affiliate Disclosure for full details.

Not Medical Advice

Nothing on this site is a substitute for professional medical advice. Weight changes, constant hunger and digestive symptoms can have many causes, some of them medical and treatable. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before changing your diet, routine or supplements, especially if you take prescription medication, follow a low-sodium diet, or have a heart or kidney condition.

If you have sudden or unexplained weight loss or gain, ongoing stomach pain, or trouble swallowing, that is a reason to see a doctor promptly, not a reason to try a home routine.
